Air General, a national cargo handling company, is seeking a Senior Accountant who will work out of our home office location in Portsmouth, NH. The role will report to the Director of Finance and serve as an integral member of the accounting/finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various general ledger reconciliations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with a high degree of focus on the revenue management process.

Essential Job Functions:
Daily bank activity reconciliationsAccounting for various elements of revenue cycle ranging from invoice management to payment processing and collection effortsUnderstanding of customer contracts to ensure compliance during invoicing processServe as primary contact with customers regarding invoicing and work collaboratively to resolve any discrepanciesReconciliation of Accounts Receivable sub-ledgersSupporting month-end and year-end close as necessaryAssisting with initial internal control evaluations to determine areas of improvementRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required4-7 years of experience in a similar function within a companyMust be at least 18 years of ageMust possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English languageOther Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google or related software - Netsuite preferredExperience in the cargo industry is a plusCompensation -
This is a salary/exempt role. Salary will be based on current market conditions and commensurate with candidate experience. Candidates are encouraged to communicate their expectations during the recruiting and selection process.
