Fusion HCR is hiring! We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer (Tier 2, Tier 3) with significant experience working with products from Palo Alto Networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting expertise to ensure the optimal performance and security of our clients' network environments.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the availability, reliability, integrity, and efficient operation of the network systems that support the enterprise technology functions. This is achieved by monitoring, supporting, and optimizing the organization network infrastructure. Network support may extend from testing and troubleshooting problems to regular maintenance. The Senior Network Engineer will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the availability and performance of IT network investments.

•Serve as a subject matter expert on Palo Alto Networks products, including firewalls, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention solutions.

•Provide Tier 2 technical support to diagnose and resolve complex network issues and security incidents.

•Collaborate with Tier 1 support teams and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

•Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of network security solutions based on Palo Alto Networks technologies.

•Deploy and maintain Palo Alto networks firewalls, routers, switches, and related hardware.

•Conduct proactive monitoring and maintenance activities to identify potential issues and prevent service disruptions.

•Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing and process improvement.

•Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network security technologies, particularly those related to Palo Alto Networks products.

•Manage a queue of work requests to meet service levels and KPI objectives.

•Troubleshoot, identify, and repair complex network issues for WAN, LAN, Internet connections and end-user issues while working within internal ticketing/trouble reporting systems.

•Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and implement network configurations that meet documented requirements.

•Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.

•Provide technical guidance to support establishment of policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure security and integrity of the enterprise network environment.

•Review technical requirements, establish project milestones and tasks, and determine level of effort estimates for their completion.

•Develop and perform network security audits, configuration backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the organization's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

•Prepare and maintain documentation of network standards, configurations, procedures, and cabling layouts.

•Perform all work in a manner to ensure interoperability and maintain compliance of enterprise network systems.

•Monitor and test system performance, capacity and prepare and deliver network performance statistics and reports.

•Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, assisting other departments as required.

•Possess effective collaboration skills to work with other technical staff to ensure reliable integration of systems and software for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

•Understand and abide by Incident, Problem and Change management processes and procedures.

•Interact with vendors, peers, and contractors to ensure secure, reliable systems implementations and upgrades are performed within project parameters.

•Minimum 7+ years' operating, maintaining, and implementing firewalls, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention solutions on Palo Alto Networks platforms.

•Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role, supporting enterprise networks and/or large data.

•Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent.

•Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks products, including configuration, troubleshooting, and administration.

•Thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN systems and complexities of large-scale deployments.

•Understanding of dynamic routing protocols with a minimum of 2 years' experience in design and implementation of network design.

•Strong network fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, etc.

•Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following technologies (Besides Palo Alto): Cisco, HP, Aruba, Brocade, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Infoblox, SolarWinds, Fortinet, and F5.

•Experience working in a highly regulated environment (CMMC, DISA STIG, MICS, PCI, SOX).

•Documented expertise with network configuration, security principles, and maintenance best practices.

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

•Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

•Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

•Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

•Experience working in a managed services or consulting environment.

•Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation and orchestration tasks.

•Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
