Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Team. The Supply Chain Coordinator position will play a key role in procurement activities, timely acquisition of materials and services, and delivery of finished product. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, logistics, and an agile and strategic mindset. This hands-on position is suited for an individual capable of operating in an agile and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and prioritize all material and supply chain resource allocation to support production objectives.Prioritize strategic and tactical purchasing operations to align with production objectives.Prioritize R&D purchasing, component allocation, and supply chain resources to align with R&D objectives.Develop understanding and maintain awareness of product and manufacturing requirements.Develop understanding and maintain awareness of supplier capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.Coordinate supplier onboarding, evaluation and communication of flow down requirements.Coordinate and prioritize logistics of purchasing, kitting, box build, and finished part production.Monitor supply chain issues, such as EOL (End of Life) notifications to mitigate risks.Negotiates prices for materials, components, and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Materials Coordinator to optimize inventory turnover, set safety stock levels and minimize carrying costs.Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.Conduct cost analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement practices.Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. Assists with internal audits.Work with supply chain team to track production activities to on-time completion.Support ERP rollout and integration with supply chain, procurement and production processes.Performs other duties as assigned.Support Roles:
Purchases materials and components based on available inventories, Bills of Materials, and production needs.Prepares kits to allow Contract Manufacturers to produce Printed Circuit Board and box build assemblies.Qualifications:
Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier management.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Experience in procurement software and ERP systems, or ability to quickly pick-up and adapt to new software and systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and achieving results.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with production or management of Printed Circuit Board assemblies.Experience with manufacturing and assembly of consumer electronics.Experience with storage and handling of electronic components.Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).Skill in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar ERP system.Knowledge of contract law, contract negotiation principles, and contract management practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Experience with working with BOMs (bill of materials).Efficiently processes extensive amounts of detailed data with exceptional accuracy.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
