About this role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Assistant who provides essential support in managing and optimizing the supply chain processes, ensuring smooth operations from procurement to delivery. This role involves data entry, inventory management, communication with suppliers, and assisting with logistical tasks to ensure efficiency in the supply chain. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

ResponsibilitiesCarrier and Customer Coordination:Coordinate with carriers to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and promptly resolve any issues that arise during transit to meet customer expectations.Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods, adhering to agreed schedules and service levels.Maintain detailed records of shipping activities, including freight costs, carrier performance, and delivery statuses.Supplier Management:Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through research and networking to diversify and strengthen the supplier base.Request quotes, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective agreements without compromising quality or delivery timelines.Coordinate the request and testing of samples with the production and quality teams.Purchase production, warehouse-related materials, and office supplies for the Atlanta/ San Diego site.Order ManagementCollaborate with warehouse, and production teams to monitor inventory levels and production progress. Place orders in a timely manner to avoid stock shortages.Oversee and manage order processing, ensuring accuracy in sales order and purchase order entry.Collaborate with multidepartments to complete the payment and submit necessary docuemnts.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation for shipments, purchases, supplier contracts, inbound documents, and other supply chain-related records.Ensure accurate and timely entry of sales orders and purchase orders into the system.Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify opportunities to enhance supply chain processes and streamline procurement workflows.Implement best practices to reduce lead times, minimize costs, and improve efficiency.Provide regular updates and progress reports on projects to supervisors.Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business is a plus).

1-2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or a related field.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with supply chain software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), is preferred.

Experience in logistics, warehousing, or procurement roles, is preferred.
