Join our world-class team today!Position Specific DescriptionThe Director of Asset Performance oversees a team of managers and operations engineers responsible for maximizing generation output, asset performance monitoring, and reporting for over 50 GW of renewable energy generation and storage assets. This role demands a leader with the ability to work cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve performance issues within our extensive fleet of energy assets and technology. The incumbent will manage gross generation budgets for wind, solar, and storage assets and is expected to quickly identify process gaps, adapt existing methodologies, and develop and implement new solutions and analytics driving continuous improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with upper management to concisely communicate problems and recommend forward-looking solutions. As a subject matter expert in asset performance, the successful candidate will lead initiatives to improve asset performance at both site and fleet levels. Exceptional people management skills are crucial for attracting, developing, and retaining top technical talent.Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical engineers to meet business objectives.Oversee and manage the gross generation performance budget for both NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) and Florida Power & Light (FPL) wind, solar, and storage fleets.Communicate asset performance issues to upper management and recommend actionable solutions.Represent the business unit in key cross-functional meetings related to monthly and annual budget planning, as well as investment decision approvals.Adapt existing processes to align with the evolving business environment and technological advancements.Spearhead the development and implementation of new tools and analytical processes to support business growth and operational efficiency.Manage customer interactions, ensuring timely and responsive communication to inquiries or requests.Prepare and present detailed performance reports and analytics.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.Attract, develop, and retain top technical talent to build a high-performing team.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by senior management.Job OverviewEmployees in this role are responsible for leading and coordinating key functions of a project such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design, project legal review and financial negotiations. The position plays a key role in building strategic relationships and executing major contracts necessary to support the Company’s generating business growth initiatives. This role reviews and oversees the development of key project agreements.
