Hybrid Full-Time Exempt Salary Range:
$65,000-$70,000 (commensurate with experience) Join Halcyon as an Events Manager and drive the narrative of a pioneering social impact organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events for the organization. You will report to the Vice President of Operations and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery from start to finish—all while amplifying Halcyon’s mission to advance social entrepreneurship. Planning and Logistics Manage and execute various Halcyon events, such as internal meetings, fireside chats, partner appreciation events, alumni gatherings, or donor engagements. Track and prioritize pre- and post-event projects. Oversee event logistics: inventory, setup, catering, AV, registration, and attendee management. Ensure events align with budget constraints and track expenses. Event Management Customize menus and beverages for enhanced guest experiences. Manage event materials: invitations, agendas, registration forms, badges, and promotional content. Handle post-event tasks: surveys, thank-you notes, and performance reports. Troubleshoot issues during events and ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations. Relationship Management Coordinate with vendors, venues, and internal teams for seamless logistics. Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure cohesive event branding. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors and clients. Exhibit a positive and inclusive attitude. Sales and Sponsorships Manage the complete sales process from identifying sponsorships to securing payments. Negotiate contracts and generate revenue through aligned sponsors. Network at events to identify new sponsorship opportunities. Who You Are:
5-7 years of relevant experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Management Experience: 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in event management software (e.g., EveryAction), CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual event platforms (Zoom, Teams). Organizational Excellence: Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with experience using project management software to manage multiple projects efficiently. Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced in leading teams and interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Ability to anticipate issues, solve problems under pressure, and ensure flawless event execution with keen attention to detail. Contract & Budget Management: Proficient in budgeting, cost management, and understanding contracts, including drafting and managing timelines for deliverables. Certification: Event Planning (CMP, CSEP, or similar) is a plus. DC ABA Manager License is a plus. How Can You Apply?
