klaviyo.tech .About the role:Our team is looking for remarkable data scientists to build features that make our product more intelligent, streamline Klaviyo’s internal operations, and transform Klaviyo’s future. In this role, you’ll have an outsized impact on Klaviyo by building purpose-driven and robust models, designing and implementing solutions that automate manual work and improve outcomes both for our customers and ourselves, and adeptly using both cutting-edge and well-studied approaches.You should be deeply technical and hands-on. You love getting into the product and into the code to understand and contribute to solutions with your technical toolset, which is both broad and deep. You prefer iterative solutions that are incrementally better to a long-debated “perfect” solution. You understand how important writing quality, intelligible, well-tested code is to delivering a data science solution.You love working with your stakeholders and partners—from Engineering, Product, and Design to teams outside of R&D, depending on the project—to solve challenging problems for customers, and you enjoy talking to stakeholders and customers firsthand. You believe the best solutions are those arrived through partnership with those stakeholders, and you believe in working hand-in-hand, not tossing projects over a wall for someone else to finish. You’re able to drive projects forward, overcome challenges, and work with stakeholders to define key details of a project.What we’re looking for:2+ years industry experience in data science or machine learningExperience leading technical projects, working directly with stakeholders to deliver successful features, and demonstrating both strong technical skills and strong communication and collaboration skillsExperience developing and putting models into production, evaluating their impact through testing and experimentation, and owning and maintaining production models long termA wide and deep base of knowledge in data science, statistics, and machine learningAdvanced degree in computer science, statistics, data science, or equivalent industry experienceProficiency in Python and experience using standard ML tools such as pandas, sklearn, PyTorch, XGBoostNice to have:Experience developing technical roadmaps to solving complex business problems using MLExperience with Sagemaker, Ray, Spark, Huggingface, DBTExperience in any specific data science domain (e.g. NLP, experimental design, forecasting) is not a requirement for this role, but be sure to list any areas you have substantial experience and expertise inExperience working with customers directlyIndustry experience in software engineeringThe pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
