THE ROLE
We are seeking a Vice President of Total Rewards to lead compensation and benefits strategies for our client's high-growth public company. This role reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and requires a hands-on leader with exceptional business judgment and relationship-building skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Partner with the People and Rewards teams to enhance and align compensation structures and optimize employee benefits, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
Develop, mentor, and inspire the rewards, payroll, and HRIS teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with leadership to design and implement compensation strategies that effectively attract and retain top talent while optimizing total compensation spend.
Lead the annual compensation review process, preparing clear and concise materials for management, the Compensation Committee, and shareholder meetings.
Administer equity programs, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely processing of equity transactions, including RSUs and stock options, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee the design and execution of employee recognition programs that enhance engagement and reinforce company values.
Identify and implement best practices in policies, systems, and processes to streamline operations and improve employee experience.
Develop and analyze HR metrics to communicate trends in diversity, retention, and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL LIKELY NEED
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or JD preferred, showcasing a strong educational foundation in business or law.
12+ years of progressively responsible experience in compensation, equity plans, benefits, and HR systems, particularly within large and early-stage public companies.
Proven expertise in developing and executing broad-based and executive compensation strategies that align with organizational goals.
Strong understanding of public company compensation practices and experience working with a premier global compensation advisory organization is a plus.
Exceptional business judgment, with a proactive, client-service-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Natural rapport-building abilities with exceptional collaboration and communication skills, facilitating relationships at all organizational levels.
Proven track record of influencing and coaching stakeholders, driving positive outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Comfort with ambiguity and a history of thriving in fast-paced, evolving business landscapes.
High standards of confidentiality and integrity, particularly when dealing with sensitive information and compliance matters.
Solid understanding of Medical Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations, with a passion for furthering industry knowledge.
