The Role:We’re seeking our first Sales and Business Development hire to work with the Chief Business Officer and founding team in driving revenue by securing strategic biopharma clients. You'll manage a pipeline of top accounts, focusing globally on rare diseases in neurology, cardiology, neuromuscular, and hematology, to name a few. Your insights will help shape our strategic priorities, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy while supporting the growth of the team and acting as a player-coach.

Responsibilities :
Build business from the ground up in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This includes finding, pitching, negotiating with, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the rare disease biotech and pharmaceutical space.Have the ability to dynamically present Citizen offerings to customers with a strong understanding of the product and drug development, including at conferences and industry events.Be a player-coach - support recruitment and training of new members of the sales team.Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.Gather customer feedback to inform product development and improve service offerings.
Must-Have Skills:
7+ year proven track record of successfully selling and building partnerships in a start-up environment (can include being part of a fast-paced group in a larger company).Experience selling into both biotech and pharma customers at the executive level.Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Willingness to travel as needed (as much as 50% over time) to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of the biotech and pharmaceutical market, including key players, trends, and challenges.Experience working in real world data and evidence, rare diseases, clinical trials and post-marketing settings.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences.

US Base Pay Range: $160,000 - $210,000 plus Commission
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This position is eligible for commission, stock options and other benefits including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision insurance. We also offer unlimited PTO and a paid new parent leave program so you can spend time with your new child.
