BSN preferred; at least 1 completed travel contract if less than 4 years of experienceJob Description:- Work in a short-term acute care, teaching hospital- Patient diagnoses include:Orthopedics: Primary total joint (hip and knee) replacement, revision of total joint replacement, spine surgery, ankle replacement, total shoulder replacementLimb Salvage: Diabetic wounds, venous/arterial stasis wounds, surgical debridement, amputationsUrology: Prostatectomy, nephrectomy, stent placementOther surgical patients with comorbidities- No on-call requirement; 50% weekends required- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6- Wear scrubs of any color without hospital logos; scrubs not provided by unit- Complete charting using Cerner system- FLU vaccination required with no exemptions- Complete a total of 28 orientation hoursAdditional requirements include the completion of modules pre-start and potentially during orientation, which can vary by specialty.
