Human Resources Generalist and Compensation Specialist, Vice President

Job Purpose:
BTIG seeks a hardworking and motivated professional to join our HR team. This is a unique opportunity to act as a compensation specialist and HR generalist in our San Francisco office. This pivotal role involves overseeing a broad spectrum of compensation elements including base salary, variable compensation, deferred compensation, and commissions. The successful candidate will display a proactive approach, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across business leadership, Human Resources, and Finance departments to ensure compliance and effective execution of compensation strategies. Additionally, the ideal candidate will also be responsible for various people related tasks including employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and employee engagement.
Roles and Responsibility:
Administer and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes including background checks and exit interviews.
Work with HR Business Partners, leaders, and managers in assigned client groups to support the annual compensation process.
Leverage understanding of the assigned business groups and the associated talent pools to make informed recommendations on broader compensation strategy/approach as well as individual compensation decisions.
Monitor and review individual compensation decisions to ensure consistency in recognizing performance, overall skill set, and years of experience; highlight gaps and make recommendations to address any identified issues.
Develop, maintain, and share various HR compensation reports and analyses with appropriate stakeholders to drive informative insights to enable leaders to make better decisions.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a professional services organization.
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, psychology, or other related field.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and excel in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Aptitude for problem solving with a creative, solutions-oriented approach.
Unwavering commitment to act with integrity, professionalism, and discretion with confidential matters.
Ability to build and cultivate effective partnerships with employees across the organization.
Excellent ability to actively listen and strong communication skills.
Extensive experience using ADP Workforce Now, ranging from implementation, best practices, and report building.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and outstanding organizational skills.

Compensation:
BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
The current estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
