Overview

The Director of IT Network & Infrastructure will oversee the organization’s network, infrastructure, and related systems. This leader is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and growth. The role involves strategic planning, managing IT operations, guiding infrastructure projects, and leading teams to achieve optimal performance and security. The Director will work closely with other business units and senior management to enhance technology capabilities and support business operations.

How you'll make an impact

Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and implement strategic plans for network architecture and infrastructure that align with business goals.Lead the infrastructure team, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that can drive business innovation and improve operational efficiency.

Network & Systems Management:

Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of the company’s network systems, including WAN, LAN, VPNs, cloud infrastructure, and data centers.Ensure the infrastructure supports scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.Monitor and manage system performance, providing proactive troubleshooting and ensuring minimal downtime.

Security & Compliance:

Implement and maintain best-in-class cybersecurity practices to safeguard network and data assets.Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).Collaborate with the information security team to mitigate risks and respond to security incidents.

Project Management & Budgeting:

Lead infrastructure projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and budget.Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.

Team Development:

Manage, mentor and develop IT infrastructure staff, building a strong, cohesive team.Create training programs to ensure the team is up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.

Collaboration:

Partner with other IT leaders and business units to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and business applications.Provide technical advice and recommendations for improvements to IT systems and processes.

About You

Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:

10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of managing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure environments.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.

Skills & Competencies:

Deep knowledge of network architecture, data center management, and virtualization technologies.Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for IT infrastructure.

Certifications:

Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar are highly preferred.

Working Conditions:Full-time position with occasional after-hours work required for system maintenance and emergencies.May require occasional travel to other company locations.
