Financial Sponsors General Partner (GP) Advisory

team based in

Burlingame, CA .

The GP Advisory team is led by the former Global Head of Financial Sponsors at Morgan Stanley and co-founder of DBO Partners, acquired by Piper Sandler in 2022. The team has strong relationships with leading financial sponsors and routinely advises them on a variety of strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, minority stake sales, GP financing and liquidity solutions, and restructuring.

While working on transactions, the Vice President can expect to work closely with Founding Partners, Managing Partners, and other senior executives at sponsor clients, and will work closely with the Financial Sponsors team, which has relationships with 500+ private equity firms as well as 100+ family offices, pension funds, infrastructure funds and independent sponsors across North America and Europe.

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of investment banking experience; MBA degree and 3+ years of investment banking or closely related experience

Meaningful M&A transaction experience, particularly on the sell-side M&A

Ability to lead junior bankers throughout a transaction; includes reviewing work, setting expectations and providing constructive feedback

Business writing skills, including the ability to write compelling selling memorandums and presentations

Analytical and financial modeling skills

Client management skills

Ability to build relationships and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders

Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative and leadership potential
