(Chicago/Hybrid) The position of Director of Direct Response Television, Telemarketing and Radio will be responsible for leadership, implementation, and management of fundraising strategies and operations across all three channels. The Fellowship 's mission. This position is based at our headquarters located in downtown Chicago.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related area, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years’ experience with proven, measurable success in marketing and fundraising, including television/radio and telemarketing channels is required. Certified Fundraising Professional, Member of Association of Fundraising Professionals or similar professional organization, or working toward certification are preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
Strategy:
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop strategies to achieve The Fellowship’s goals to acquire, retain, and reactivate donors through DRTV, Telemarketing, Radio channels, and podcast strategy. Engage with strategic partners to manage implementation of strategies, maintaining and tracking progress to goals. Work closely with DRTV, Telemarketing, and Radio Operations to develop and execute strategies with inbound and outbound telemarketing services. Work collaboratively with other internal fundraising channels to ensure ongoing integration of DRTV, Telemarketing, and Radio into the holistic donor journey, and ensure strong donor retention.
Management and Operations:
Maintain oversight and accountability for donor acquisition and fundraising goals as well as related budgets. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for DRTV, Telemarketing, and Radio Operations Unit. Provide hands-on leadership, development, and ongoing coaching and performance management of DRTV, Telemarketing, and Radio staff.
Analytics and Reporting:
Work in collaboration with the analytics team to establish accurate benchmarks. Provide reports for Executive Management and Leadership as requested. Define testing and adjust strategy according to results of analysis, organizational/departmental fundraising-related KPIs, and benchmarking.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of media buying practices, telemarketing segmentation, and fundraising best practices to acquire and retain donors.
Knowledge of the Evangelical Christian market along with an understanding of Jewish tenets.
Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Strong project management skills/knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Intermediate negotiation and presentation skills.
High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong critical thinking skills, able to understand and optimize donor data segmentation to achieve organizational goals in retention.
Demonstrated leadership, team building, and performance management skills.
Ability to travel to industry-related conferences and partner meetings as needed.
