As a Full Time Inspector at WALCO Tool & Engineering, you will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of intricate metal parts and machined components, ensuring they meet the stringent quality standards we uphold. Your role will require a high level of expertise in utilizing various measuring instruments and gauges, from calipers to micrometers, as you assess each component with precision. Additionally, your ability to read and interpret complex blueprints will be essential in verifying dimensions and tolerances, guaranteeing that each product aligns with our dedicated manufacturing specifications.

To thrive as a Full Time Inspector at WALCO Tool & Engineering, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and experience. A minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role is essential, with familiarity in using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) being highly preferred. An advanced understanding of blueprint reading is crucial, as you'll be interpreting complex designs to ensure compliance with specifications.
Detail-oriented individuals will excel in this position, as precision is key in assessing intricate metal parts and machined components. Candidates should also be able to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively conveying inspection results and collaborating with team members.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a valuable asset that will further enhance your capabilities in maintaining our commitment to quality in manufacturing.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
1-3 years experience in similar position in a manufacturing facilityCMM experience preferredExperience with various measuring tools such as steel scales, tape measures, micrometers, dial calipers, dial bore gauges, optical bore comparatorsBlueprint reading experienced requiredAdvanced blueprint reading preferredDetail orientedAbility to work independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGD& T experience a plusMake your move
