Quality Inspector
Machine shop in Apex is hiring a Quality Inspector to inspect all incoming parts and supplies, perform final inspections, and scheduling calibrations for all measuring equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Inspecting first articles, in process parts, and products prior to shipment using gauges, coordinate measure machine, optical comparators
- Generating spreadsheets for data collection
- Generating first article inspection reports
- Reconciling final inspection documentation for shipments
- Testing incoming raw materials
- Using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers
- Reading instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure dimensions on parts being machined within specified tolerance
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience as a quality inspector in a machine shop
- Experience with precision manufacturing preferred (medical, aerospace, etc.)
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar design software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
