South Central Regional Medical Center is looking for a talented Network Engineer with a strong background in Cisco wired and wireless networking to join our dynamic team and take the lead on transitioning our Cisco environment to an Aruba network infrastructure.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco wireless solutions.Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement network security policies and procedures.Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains current and secure.Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Networking or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.Strong expertise in Cisco technologies (wired and wireless.)Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.Experience with Cisco wireless controllers and access points.Knowledge of network security best practices and protocols.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) are highly desirable.
