About the Role: Each role has specific functions, examples of Production tasks: Inspect, straighten, align, separate, or remove product on a conveyor Startup and stopshut down of ovens experience Examine rejected product; sort rejected product into appropriate container for repacking, reworking, or disposal Closely monitor product as they progress through the oven checking size, color, bake, etc. Mixing all required dough according to the prescribed instructions Measure and record temperature reporting any deviations to supervisor Inspection and maintainment of oven equipment to ensure quality product Record and maintain documentation Main Responsibilities: Responsible for the efficiency of the wrapper, cartoner, and case packing as dictated by area being operated. Must have thorough knowledge of start-up and shutdown procedures. Must be able to maintain proper controls while machinery is operating. Make adjustments to machinery to ensure quality product is being produced. Inspect equipment and insure that there are no obstructions or improper mechanical functions with the machine when in motion. Follow and maintain QAR, lot tracking, SOP/SOC sheets. Troubleshoot normal machinery malfunctions that do not require a mechanic. Maintain sanitation in process through efficient housekeeping as required during shift operations. Constantly monitor and correct as needed equipment for jams or other malfunctions. Identify and remove defective packing material Assist maintenance in equipment changeovers and complete all aspects of equipment changeovers that do not require a mechanic Provides cases for Packers and moves finished product on pallets to the shipping area. Removes flat corrugated boxes from material rack, folds and tapes cases as necessary. Stamp code dates on designated case loads. Removes finished product cases from packing production lines. Stacks designated finished product on pallets according to pallet diagram. Counts designated cases and accurately records pallet loads on skid sheets as required. Keep accurate count and records hold products according to outlines hold procedures. Perform additional duties as they relate to the appropriate job classification Who we are looking for: Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Willing to work various shifts Must be available on an "as needed" basis; willing to train in areas where needed, and be available to work as scheduled Must be willing and able to read factory documents as necessary to understand and follow equipment operation, quality standards and safety procedures Must be able to complete paperwork as needed for the job, including documentation of product codes, rejection of materials, material usage and quality records Must be willing to communicate with Supervisor, Maintenance, and co-workers about issues and concerns as related to the line operations Willing to work in a position that requires you to stand or walk continuously throughout the shift How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero: Consumers, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do.
