RightBrain Networks, a technology consulting company based in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area, is looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be mentored by seasoned cloud engineers while gaining hands-on experience in platform engineering, cloud architecture, and data engineering-all vital and in-demand domains in today's tech landscape. We're open to candidates with foundational experience in Linux or Windows environments. Our technical team is dedicated to creating, consulting on, and managing complex, scalable cloud-based applications for clients worldwide, ranging from dynamic start-ups to established Fortune 500 companies. We work on mission-critical projects that require innovative and adaptable solutions. As an Associate Cloud Engineer, you'll work on cloud and platform engineering projects with the support of a close-knit team. You'll be responsible for implementing cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with senior engineers to develop efficient, scalable solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Qualifications: An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the following subject areas 1 year of experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git). Knowledge of Docker fundamentals. Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab. Networking basics: DNS, TCP/IP, security fundamentals. Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Relational Database knowledge (e.g., MySQL, Postgres). Familiarity with web servers and proxies (NGINX, Apache). Strong communication skills: via email, in-person, and phone. Pluses: Software or web development experience. Experience with Docker or Kubernetes. Consolidated Monitoring Logging & Telemetry experience. Windows world experience, Server, IIS, Azure. Serverless technologies. NoSQL: DynamoDB, Mongo, Cassandra, ElasticSearch. Any relevant certifications: CCNA, RHCSA, GCP, Azure, AWS, etc. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with pay starting at $75k per year with full benefits.
