The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Software Engineering, Associate) to support NAWCAD MLS efforts from our Lexington Park, MD location. The focus of this work will be the development, testing, and delivery of MLS aware software programs based on client(s) requirements.

This position supports a Federal Government client from our Lexington Park, MD location and currently requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain MLS aware software applications and systems for various clients

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and implement MLS aware software programs

Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner

Develop technical documentation to support software solutions and ensure effective communication

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the software solutions are current and effective

Travel

Total travel is expected to be approximately 10% to CONUS sites

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience in software development, including design, development, and deployment of complex software systems

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar

Strong experience with web development frameworks and technologies (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)

In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum)

Familiarity with NSA's NCDSMO Raise the Bar (RTB) guidelines

Experience with database design and management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and provide technical support to end-users

Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CICD pipelines)

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices

Experience supporting client's users within the DoD Community

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Developer)

Experience working on DoD engineering and technical services contracts

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college.

Clearance

Salary at MIL is determined based on qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $115,000 - $180,000 per year.
