The Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for perform manual testing and test automation to identify bugs and ensure the software meets requirements. Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts and scenarios. test automation. The position will require strong communication and professional writing skills to maintain test documentation, present test plans and test results to software management, coordinate with software developers for classification of software issues, evaluate software corrective actions, and interact with other business partners for the performance of acceptance testing. The ideal Software Quality Assurance candidate should have a thorough knowledge of system testing, component testing, lifecycle error tracking, software configuration, and compliance criteria enforcement. This position may include the use of business intelligence software for reporting and visualization of test metrics, development of test automation processes using automation tools and scripting, business process development, and analytics.

This position is preferably onsite and/or hybrid (local to the Des Moines, IA area).

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

Create test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform manual testing to identify bugs and ensure the software meets requirementsSupport the development and execution of automated tests; develop and maintain test automation plans, tools, and assetsPlan and schedule test events, integration events, and software data gathering effortDocument test efforts, software product status, software bugs, and operational incidentsPerform or direct debugging efforts and classification of software issues and provide feedback and recommendations to software developersConduct regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalityWork closely with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are metRequired Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field1+ years Quality Assurance or Test Development and Execution experience in a software development, resource planning IT, customer service IT, or healthcare ITBasic understanding of software development and QA methodologiesKnowledge of test planning and documentation processesExperience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, Salesforce, SQL databases, C# applications, or Microsoft 365 applicationsStrong ability to document bugs and issues in various software products developed in multiple languages or environmentsExcellent time management skillsCapability to interact with several levels of business partners in an efficient and professional mannerKnowledge of security, policy, regulatory, and contractual compliance implementation, and validationMultitasking and communications skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and business unit relationships simultaneously in a rapid development environmentStrong presentation and communication skillsAbility to adapt to changing business priorities and requirementsUnparalleled self-motivation and an ability to work efficiently will minimal direct oversightAbility to work as an effective member of a fast moving, responsive software development teamPhysical Requirements
