Job DescriptionManage and maintain server infrastructure, cloud and on-prem (VMWare, Azure)Manage and maintain server operating systems (Server 2016 and newer)Monitoring and optimizing server performance and resource utilizationDevelop, perform, and monitor regular backupsAssist in developing testing, and executing disaster recoveryWorks with the Security team to implement and maintain security measures to protect servers from threats; Vulnerability and Patch ManagementWork closely with network administrators for configuration of virtual networks, DNS, DHCP and moreImplement security and compliance measuresManage and audit user accessProvide Tier 3 support for server and server application related issuesWork closely with other IT team members to plan and implement IT projects.Mentor peers regarding cloud architecture and best practicesMaintain up-to-date documentation of server configurations, processes, and procedures.Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.Master's degree may be preferred for some senior-level positions.Certifications:Certifications from major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP can be highly valuable.Relevant certifications may include:AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectAWS Certified SysOps AdministratorMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Technical Skills:Strong understanding of operating systems like Linux and Windows.Proficiency in networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, firewalls).Experience with virtualization technologies.Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash).Understanding of cloud security best practices.Professional Experience:2-5 years of experience in IT or cloud computing.Experience with one or more major cloud platforms.Hands-on experience with cloud administration tasks like:Provisioning and managing cloud resourcesMonitoring and troubleshooting cloud environmentsImplementing security measuresOptimizing cloud costs
