Professional Responsibilities:
1. Review and prepare individual, corporate, partnership tax returns. Limited number of trust and non-profit returns.
2.Identify applicable tax issues and planning opportunities, assist with implementation
3.Review and respond to IRS and state & local tax notices, audits
4.Perform and supervise accounting write-up/prepared financial statements
5.Comprehensive year-end tax planning
6.Supervise, train, and review work of other team members (tax and accounting)
7.Learn various aspects of music industry, athlete taxation, and various other small business clients
Qualifications:
1.Current CPA license
2.Bachelor's degree in accounting, strong grasp of accounting and financial statement concepts
3.Current CPA firm and/or family office experience. 5-10 years recent experience preferred.
4.In depth knowledge and experience with tax return concepts for Individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLC's, Partnership's
5.Experience with tax audits and review and responding to notices
6.Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues (tax and financial), perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking necessary to implement advice and planning
7.Strong software skills, including proficiency in Excel, and experience with CCH ProSystem
8.Ability to interact and effectively manage communication with clients (written, verbal, and in person)
9.Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlines, as part of a team
