Position Summary: The Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.Performs CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures.Job Requirements

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalentAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)American Heart Association BLS required within 60 days of hireTwo (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologistARRT CT registry eligible1 year post graduation experience with trauma Radiology preferredSchedule Information

Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or neededThe role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.Unit Specific Information

This is for Advanced Medical Imaging.Additional Details

Candidates must live at least 90 miles from facility to be considered for assignment.Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
