Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-730Scheduler will schedule travelers- no block schedulingWeekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period- travelers are utilized to fill in gapsHoliday Requirement: Yes- if there is a needUnit Specific Information
Unit: MedSurg - 6th Floor# of Beds: 42Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6-very rarely happensIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse on each shift- very rarely takes patients but will if there is a need. Day shift also has an ADT nurse that helps with admits, discharges, and taskingAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes- 1:8RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP-RT manages, high flowAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Virtual Tele techs. RNs are required to read and interpret own strips. Currently have SpaceLab but are transitioning to Philips by end of JuneFloating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Can also go to any like units in the system- Boise Medical Center 8mi away and Nampa Medical Center- both about 8 miles away. Could also float to ER for holds or to be a 1:1Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Any color as long as clean and professionalHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training and meeting with educator, will also have online modules to complete prior to start of assignment. 2 shifts on unit with a preceptorAdditional Details
This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.
