Unit: Clinical Support Unit - RN Float PoolWhat units are included in the float pool: ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, NICU at 3 facilities - Boise, Meridian, and NampaRNs will only float in their speciality, will never float to a lower acuityCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: MedSurg- insulinCharge nurse on all unitsFloat pool leadership team including educator and admin have a shared emailNurse aids/patient care techs on the units: Yes, ratios: anywhere from 1:8-10 depending on floor and dayRT Equipment: Specifics will be provided by unit managersTele/monitor techs on the units: ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU must read and interpretAdditional Details
Nurse:Patient Ratios: ER: 1:4, ICU: 1:1-2, MedSurg: 1:5, Tele: 1:4, Peds: 1:3, NICU 1:4Travelers will have an app, 1 hour before shift starts will see what hospital and unit you are going toTravelers will be 1st to float can midshift float - can float at any time during shift to different units and facilities, whenever there is a needThis facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
