THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.Travelers could also float to the sister facility if needed.Every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.Flexibility is a must.Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).Job Requirements
A full 3 years of recent ICU experience is required with no exceptions.Experience must also include EITHER neuro or CV.Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a maximum of 2 attempts.Schedule Information
Self-scheduling is available however, the manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule are required; night shift weekends are Friday - Saturday and day shift are Saturday - Sunday.May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.No additional call/standby shifts required but may be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.Unit Specific Information
Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery has 32 beds.Nurse:Patient Ratios are 1:2 or 1:1.Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Level 1 trauma Center, Falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, trauma patients over age of 15, Ex-lap, crani, specialty neuro-surgery cases, CVA, status post-TPA, COVID, sepsis, ARDS.Medical ICU - Medical Cardiac + Overflow has 36 Medical Cardiac unit beds + 12 bed overflow unit.Expectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.Additional Details
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.Experience or 'Must have' skills are specified for the ICU environment.Are RNs required to titrate drips? YesCharge Nurse does not take patients.RN required to interpret own tele monitor strips.
