The inpatient RD serves a vital role in the health care team byAssessing patient's nutrition status, including use of NFPE to identify malnutrition.Developing and evaluating a nutrition plan; collaborating with all health care team members.Providing patient and family education, including special diet and food/drug education.Participating in team patient care meetings.Performing administrative functions to ensure efficient and accurate workflow.Supervising accuracy of work performed by dietitian assistants.Additional Details
