Sigma Healthcare Team is currently looking for Registered Dietician to work onsite in the York.
Shift : Day Shift - 4 - 10 hour shifs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and rotating weekends. No caGeneral job duties. Types of procedures required:
Correct menus and make menu changes for kitchen staff, serve as a resource for food service management and kitchen staff in regards to clarification of diets/nutrition support and patient satisfaction, review patient assessment requests, Interview patients and perform nutrition assessments, make nutrition recommendations as needed, follow up with physician consults, nutrition education, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with all food service and medical staff to provide optimal patient care.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:
Computer charting and menus
Required skills and minimum years of experience:Skills Required

assessing patient's nutrition status, including use of NFPE to identify malnutrition.developing and evaluating a nutrition plan; collaborating with all health care team members.providing patient and family education, including special diet and food/drug education.participating in team patient care meetingsperforming administrative functions to ensure efficient and accurate workflow.supervising accuracy of work performed by dietitian assistants.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:
Registered Dietitian by the American Dietetic Associationlicensed with the State of Maine.
Floating to other units/departments:
Dietitian will be stationed at the food and nutrition services department but will provide nutrition and dietetic services for otherareas of the facility.
