Med-Surg (DEPT# 300201, EOC 690002) nursing position available.Responsible for providing nursing care to a variety of patients including Total Joints, general surgeries, gyn surgeries, and general medical patients including CVA, PNA, CHF, ETOH, end of life care, COVID, etc.12 hour shifts.Job Requirements
ACLS, BLS certifications are necessary.MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE.Require 2.5 yrs of nursing experience, first 6 months do not count.General surgery experience required.Total joint experience preferred but not required.Must be able to titrate drips, specifically insulin.Schedule Information
Shifts consist of 12 hour periods, starting at 0545-1815 and 1730-0615.Weekend work is typically every other weekend but depends on needs.Holiday work is required.Unit Specific Information
There are nurse aids on the unit.Nurse to patient ratios are 7-8.Equipment includes v60 vents, cpaps and high flow nasal canula (FHNC).Central Monitoring Unit staffed with a Monitor Tech at all times.Unit/Department specific orientation of 1-2 shifts depending on experience.Additional Details
HOUSING IS VERY DIFFICULT WITH PETS.RNs required to read strips and verify measurements and interpretation by Monitor Techs.
