MedSurg - Infectious Disease unit (Cost Center 15) with 18 beds (All private rooms due to Infectious Diseases)Staffed with 3-4 RNs per shiftExperience with MedSurg, ID, Isolation precautions requiredCharge Nurse available 24/7; Day charge may take patients, Night charge will take a full patient assignment2 CNA's per shiftNo cardiac drips, no ventilators on unit; potential management of patients on Cpap, Bipap, or High flow - managed per RTRemote tele-monitoring from the 3rd floor with monitors at the desk; RN's not required to read or interpret stripsJob Requirements

12 Hour Shifts: 0700-1930; 1900-0730 with a 1/2 hour lunch breakPerm staff does self-scheduling, Travelers will be scheduled as needed with possible block schedulingUnit Specific Information
Orientation includes 1 Day of EPIC training, followed by 1 day on the floor with a preceptor, and the 3rd day on their ownAdditional Details
Every-other-weekend work requiredNight shift weekends are Fri/Sat/Sun; Day shift weekends are Sat/SunHoliday work depends on the needs of the unit and permanent staff coverageFloating to any MedSurg units required for travelers; if floated to Tele, assignments will be within skillsetDress code: Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jackets not required but if worn, must be actual scrub jackets and royal blue
