Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour (1:00 PM - 1:30 AM); Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, with 1 year of travel experience required if recent Epic experience License: Valid state license preferred at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC preferred Must-Have: EPIC & Trauma ExperienceJob Description: - Assess patient needs, and plan and coordinate interventions and consultations. - Perform procedures and treatments, including but not limited to moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&Cs, sexual assault exams, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and imminent deliveries. - Manage patient populations and diagnoses such as trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, and sepsis. - Frequently encounter patients with a history of alcohol/drug abuse or complex medical histories. - Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. - Floating within the hospital is required. - Weekend work is required; however, no on-call responsibilities. - Participate in a teaching environment at a Magnet Level I Trauma Center. - Opportunities to engage with diverse cases in a fast-paced setting.
