The Technical Support Analyst III maintains the service and integrity of the County radio system, supporting auxiliary communications equipment for the radio system, and equipment used in the 911 operations of the County Communications Center.Performs troubleshooting, research, and analysis of highly technical issues involving the County radio system and subscriber units.
Maintains the radio system network database and creates and installs radio programming information into subscriber units operating on the County radio system.Maintains and provides troubleshooting for County radio system infrastructure including generators, UPS, and HVAC systems; required to respond to various radio sites and agency facilities throughout the County.Coordinates and works with vendors to maintain and repair essential elements of the County radio system and other communications technology including BDA/DAS systems throughout County facilities.Performs troubleshooting, research, and analysis of hardware, software, and applications utilized in the County Communications Center.Performs troubleshooting and coordination for the phone systems utilized in the County Communications Center
Job Requirements
An Associate's degree in Information Technology (or related field) and three (3) years related experience in electronics, two-way radio, and telecommunications are required.Bachelor's degree is preferred.Education can substitute for experience and experience can substitute for education.Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is also required.
