General Statement of Duties

Provides advanced, Tier III technical support to end users, hardware, software, applications, systems, interfaces and equipment in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, which may include supporting department staff and/or operations at multiple locations; additional duties include routine programming, coding, scripting, querying, interface development and support; LAN/WAN setup and support; routine and less complex maintenance, design and creation of dynamic department-specific web pages and/or tools; and assisting with the management of the department-specific domain; does related work as required.
Essential Duties
This position provides advanced Tier III support (in-person, online, and remote) for hardware/software issues, performing troubleshooting, issue diagnosis, configurations, and system administration in our Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. Resolves complex technical problems, researches and deploys solutions, and maintains expert-level knowledge of department-specific systems. Acts as the go-to person for resolving difficult or unique end-user and functional issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced, Tier III support for hardware/software issues in-person, remotely, and online.Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain department-specific systems, including hardware, software, and A/V equipment.Collaborate with IT staff, vendors, and third parties to resolve complex technical issues.Manage installations, upgrades, testing, and repairs for department-specific technologies.Serve as the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving difficult technical problems.Assist with web page content management and ensure compliance with IT standards.Handle sensitive information and graphic content with care and professionalism.Provide training and guidance to users on department-specific software and systems.Coordinate with law enforcement and other agencies to resolve technical issues.Manage projects and resources, ensuring completion within budget and on schedule.Maintain accurate records of support activities and project statuses.Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and common business software.Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills for hardware, software, and systems.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.Experience managing projects, budgets, and competing priorities.Basic knowledge of accounting/financial principles.Knowledge of GIS technologies is a plus.Ability to work independently, handle sensitive data, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call support.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) year degree in relevant IT field of study and three (3) years of relevant work experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requires a valid driver's license to provide support at locations Countywide.
Salary range starts at $69,537 and commensurate with experience.
