CA license2 years’ of recent pediatric ICU experience from a children’s hospitalExperience must be from a dedicated children's facility, not a general or adult facility with experience from a peds unitStrong pediatric ICU skill set; therapists who can jump in and work across at least 2 of the 3 ICUs including a Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and/or the Cardiothoracic ICUExperience with trachs and vents, suctioning and oxygen. Patient Population: Pediatric care from acute care on the floors, pulmonary floor (treating pts with asthma, bronchiolitis, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, cystic fibrosis, tracheostomy-ventilated support), trauma, Medical (treating pts with bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia), PICU (treating mostly intubated pts and therapies including specialty gases heliox/iNO), NICU and CTICU where heart transplants are performed. High acuity Level 4 NICU. High acuity patients on floorsFlu shot requiredUnit Accepts 1st time TravelerCOVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required*Experience must be from a dedicated children's facility, not a general or adult facility with experience from a peds unit**Seeking strong pediatric ICU skill set; therapists who can jump in and work across at least two of the three ICUs including a Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and/or the Cardiothoracic ICU*Requirements:• California RCP License in hand• RRT national credential required; RRT-NPS preferred• 2 years’ of recent pediatric ICU experience from a children’s hospital• Experience with trachs and vents, suctioning and oxygen. No specialty or blood gases needed.• BLS (AHA)• PALS (AHA)• NRP (AHA) - Must be Advanced; Essential no longer accepted. Must have in hand or registered for an Advanced class in which they will have in hand prior to start date.• Flu shot requiredSchedule Information:• 3x12 Nights• Weekend shifts per contract: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. It will be 2 full weekends in a 4-week schedule block. Scheduling blocks are 4 weeks long. They try to schedule staff and travelers every other weekend off, if possible, but not guaranteed. Night shift weekends are considered Fridays and SaturdaysRTO Standard: 6 days max.
