Business Applications Analyst

Insight Global is seeking a Business Applications Analyst for one of our largest clients in Akron, OH. They will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance of all North American applications, which includes 145 engineering & manufacturing applications. They will be responsible for defining, configuring, testing, training, and supporting business-related information technology requirements and applications, in addition to troubleshooting and resolving application issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. The Analyst will be monitoring application performance and conducting regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality, along with assisting in the deployment of new applications and updates, including testing and user training.
Additional responsibilities include:
Performs business & system analysis. Interprets data to identify gaps in technology or processes and makes recommendations within the IT and/or business functionEvaluate existing technology to support changes in business requirements.Establish and communicate procedures for proper utilization of digital and technical solutionsAssist in onboarding, training, and supporting business team members with IT technical needsUnderstand how applications and technologies are utilized within the business.Assists in the development and implementation of new technologies/services including communication and reporting to key stakeholders on status and project closure.Communicates decisions & formalize recommendations impacting area of responsibility to manager and business partners and key stakeholders where appropriatePoint of contact assisting with most communications and project expectations with 3rd party IT and service vendorsDelivers multiple solutions while managing conflicting priorities and resourcesConducts knowledge transfer and/or cross training with team membersEmpowering and encouraging team members to provide feedback on ideas that deliver quality solutions
Compensation:$35-45/hr

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.4+ years of professional related IT experience.Proven experience in application support, preferably with engineering systems/applications PLM/PDM, CAD, FEA (Enovia, Catia, Ansys, etc.)Experience with edge data integration support and development (SCADA integration, DCS, DeltaV, Rockwell, Sieki, or similar)Knowledge of SAP systems and experience supporting SAP applications.Previous experience with PC support and server administration.Available to provide after-hours and weekend technical support as needed.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in the Manufacturing or Aerospace industry.Industry recognized IT certifications.Experience with SQL DBA / Oracle.
