YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

  • Superviseand coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving,storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools,equipment, and parts in stockroom, warehouse, and yard by performing thefollowing duties.
Description:
  • Maintainsreceiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating,coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies andprocedures issued by Coastal Chemical Co & client(s). Works directly withthe dispatchers to ensure customer needs are filled.
  • Controlsinventory levels by conducting quarterly inventory physical counts andreconciling counts with BUS data storage system.
  • Managestock control and reconcile with BUS data storage system.
  • Producereports and statistics regularly (Order Point/Order Quantity report, dead stockreport, and slow moving reports).
  • Overseeingreceiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
  • Movesinventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse;coordinating inventory transfers with other related warehouses.
  • Maintainsphysical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work ordersfor repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Organizeand maintain inventory and storage area.
  • Completeswarehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees;following up on work results.
  • Maintainswarehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and discipliningemployees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Achievinghigh levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving,identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
  • Manage andmaintain our Hazardous Waste/Quarantine area. Including, proper labeling andclassifying of hazardous waste items and coordinate pick-up with our hazardouswaste vendors.
YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent work experience in the Warehouse; preferably in the chemical industry, and three years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
  • Proficient level of skill in Microsoft Office.
  • Possess good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Possess good written/oral communication skills.
