YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Production:
  • Manage theoperations facilities, assets, and personnel, ensuring that all operationalactivities are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively while ensuringconformance with all Corporate and local policies, programs, legislation, andbudgets.
  • Assistproduction departments and, if necessary, assume direct supervision of one ormore departments.
  • Developannual expense and capital budget and manage operational activities to controlexpenses incurred by
    operationsin accordance with the operations budget expectations.
  • Developmentof process descriptions and subsequent training requirements.
  • Assist insetting priorities and production schedules based on safety issues, customerneeds, equipment failures, and other operational challenges.
  • Aggressivelypursue efficiency improvements.
  • Manageoperational activities to meet inventory and customer demand requirements.
  • Developand implement operating procedures which improve safety, improve productquality, and/or eliminate operational challenges.
  • Developand maintain a positive work environment by actively driving employeeinitiatives aimed at enhancing engagement and satisfaction.
  • Developredundancy through cross training within production departments. Managepersonnel and assign manpower to thegreatest need.
  • Assist/leadin driving Capital projects from inception to completion.

Quality/Safety:
  • Immediatelyreport all conditions that either could have/or result in safety, quality, andenvironmental incidents.
  • Identifyand recommend changes or improvements, where appropriate, that enhance quality,health, safety, and the efficiency of processes.
  • Inspectand verify the satisfactory performance of facilities, equipment, andprocesses.
  • Participatein quality/customer service meetings, assist in project development, driveassigned projects to completion.
  • Lead/participatein investigations. Ensure assignments for production and the lab investigationsare completed in a timely manner.
  • Participatein monthly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Driveplant-wide participation in and value-creation through the safety KPI program.
  • Emphasizehousekeeping to improve safety.
  • Monitorand coordinate disposition of waste and nonconforming material.
  • Manage andenforce production and safety standards.

OtherFunctions:
  • Review andapprove plant invoices.
  • Participatein customer and regulatory audits.
  • Lead/participatein customer plant visits.
  • Training:
  • Lead/assistoperations manager with plant wide meetings.
  • Trainoperations personnel and ensure maintenance of training records.

Leadership:

  • Coach,guide, and develop direct reports. Hold all reports accountable for performanceand safety.

YOUR PROFILE

Educationand Experience:
  • Collegedegree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strongbackground in batch chemical production process required.
  • 3 to 5years supervisory experience, preferably in distribution and/or chemicalindustry.
  • Excellentcommunication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with both fellowemployees and customers.
  • Strongsupervisory and leadership skills.
  • Driven,proactive individual who works well with minimal supervision.
  • Excellentorganizational skills. 8. Computer skills sufficient to perform the jobrequirements (enterprise management software, Word, Excel, Outlook).
