Job Responsibilities include of a RNAC:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations.

  • Ensure accuracy of all sections of Multiple Data Set (MDS) coding to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care (CMI).

  • Ensure accuracy of clinical paperwork (assessment and accompanying documentation) to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care.

  • Nursing Educator: Serve as a primary trainer to the nursing department to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and thorough. This requires high levels of in-person interfacing with both residents and employees.

  • Nurse Management: Serves as a key member of the nursing leadership team to clinically manage the unit in order to maximize patient-centered. outcomes. This includes engagement in leadership standups and influence within interdisciplinary teams.

  • Case management with managed care. (maximize therapy and nursing services provided to residents in order to maximize patient-centered outcomes)

  • Manage clinical and financial record keeping and dissemination of these records to appropriate payers.

  • Take joint ownership of care conferences with social workers.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Active Pennsylvania RN License.

Education:  Graduate of an accredited nursing school. 

Experience: Previous long term care experience in MDS.
