Huntsman is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Ashtabula, Ohio. This position will report to the Logistics Manager.

Job Scope

The Warehouse Supervisor performs a variety of routine tasks and provides on-demand time sensitive operational support to the Production, Customer Service, and Purchasing Departments, and supervises Warehouse Logistics Technicians.

In summary, as the Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

  • Maintain paper and electronic files.
  • Attend Daily MDI meeting as a liaison between shipping and other functional groups.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Provide input on shipping related metrics, objectives, and projects.
  • Warehousing
    • Prepare and print various labels and documents.
    • Create shipping paperwork.
    • Coordinate order revisions with customer service/shipping.
    • Call for freight quotes.
    • Schedule carriers for bulk wagon, LTL, and FTL pickup for products, raw materials, and wastes.
    • Assist in managing waste and byproduct inventory.
    • Schedule small package pickups.
    • Assist in setting up and maintaining warehouse locations.
  • Cycle count areas for inventory control.
  • Final Quality Control
  • Perform pre-shipment inspections to ensure shipments meet Huntsman and customer needs:
    • Paperwork is complete and correct.
    • Containers are clean, not leaking, and properly sealed.
    • Labeling is correct and compliant.
  • Provide courteous and professional telephone support.
  • Participate in internal inspections, cycle counts, and physical inventory.
  • Coordinate workload over logistics techs to maximize efficiency and readiness.
  • Various other office related tasks and/or projects to support other departments.
  • Record non-conformance properly via assigned system(s) (e.g., EHS Insight).
  • Keeps raw material warehouse area organized and clean.
  • Ship and receive small quantity packages, FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Actively participate on assigned company-designated teams and committees and demonstrate a positive influence on employees and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. This position is NOT open for Relocation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be extremely safety oriented.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is critical.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a forklift with a safe record.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as a team with good organizational and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years' experience working in a chemical plant or similar environment.
  • 2 plus years' experience Shipping/Receiving or Warehouse skills Preferred.
  • Certification in DOT, IMO and IATA hazardous shipping as well as hazardous waste handling.
  • Ability to function within KMS and SAP.
