Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Group Leader- After School, assist in the supervision of a group of children in a range of programs and activities.
Essential Functions:
• Participate in providing activities by established Child Care
Services regulations.
• Model the Y's healthy eating standards by consuming HEPA compliant foods
and beverages during meal and snack times, and avoiding consumption of
food and beverages during other program times.
• Model the Y's active living standards by engaging in games and physical
activities with youth.
• Assist in the establishment and promotion of an environment conducive to
child growth physically, emotionally, and socially.
• Make observations and assess information for inclusion in child evaluations.
• Communicate as required with parents and children to ensure the highest
standards of care are met.
• Participate in enforcing established ground rules.
• Participate in the maintenance of cleanliness and safety of the physical
environment.

• Current knowledge of state and YMCA standards and regulations specific to
early education and child care.

• Demonstrated ability to engage in a range of children's educational,
recreational, and social activities.
• Demonstrated ability to make mature judgments in difficult situations.

Compensation: $15.50 - $15.75 per hour
