White Lane - Stockton CA - As the newest member of the Telecare family, this 4-bed adult EBSH residential program providing non-medical care in a home-like environment to adults ages 18 and over with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses who require behavioral supports, structured activities, and assistance with meal planning, activities of daily living, and participating in their community. Focus of the program will be helping residents identify and achieve their hopes and dreams.
Shifts Available:
Full Time; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Tuesday - Saturday
Short Hour .4; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Sunday/Monday
Full Time; PM 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Friday - Monday
Short Hour .4; 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Sunday/Monday
Expected starting wage range is $22.17 - $27.08. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Program Administrator provide support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behavior service needs. The Direct Care Staff shall work under the general direction of the Program Administrator.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
- High School Graduation or G.E.D.
- Six months of prior experience providing direct care and special services to persons with developmental disabilities
- Complete the required training for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 6 months of initial employment and obtain RBT certification within twelve months of initial employment or be a Qualified Behavior Modification Professional and maintain credential through employment
- Within one year of employment, all direct care staff shall complete both segments of Direct Support Professional (DSP) competency-based training course including the competency tests or pass the department-approved challenge tests applicable to both training segments. Proof of prior successful completion of both training segments and competency exams will meet this requirement
- Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
