About the Role:

As the Resident Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the technical innovation and strategic investment plans for our plant. You'll ensure the seamless design, procurement, and implementation of new equipment, projects, and processes that align with Ferrero's Masterplan. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll be responsible for managing capital expenditures (CAPEX), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting maintenance strategies, all while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and local regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and management of CAPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with the Masterplan.
  • Lead end-to-end project management, ensuring scope, specifications, and timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with plant teams and corporate departments to propose technical solutions.
  • Ensure proper application of engineering principles and technical specifications for new and existing equipment.
  • Support the development of maintenance objectives and design for maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee project engineering and investment projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress using relevant KPIs.
  • Support the technical procurement team in developing a vendor portfolio and risk management strategy.
  • Mentor and develop a team of 2direct reports, ensuring high performance and growth.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing across plants and escalate complex issues to Engineering Central when necessary.


Who we are looking for:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation) required.A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 10 -15+ years in the engineering or food/food packaging/CPG/chemical manufacturing sector with expertise in product technology, production methods, and machinery design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD (3D), MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, and Building Information Modelling (BIM). Familiarity with international regulations for machinery and processes a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, with a passion for coaching and developing talent.
  • Travel: Minimal, approximately 10%.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, motivated, and curious, with a strong ability to innovate and implement new projects. Effective communicator, both written and verbal, and highly collaborative.
