Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant II/III to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH). The candidate will provide administrative assistant functions to support the staff of OASH.
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH) is a Staff Division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Secretary. OASH oversees 12 core public health offices - including the Office of the Surgeon General and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps - as well as 10 regional health offices across the nation and 10 presidential and secretarial advisory committees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support program/project management by performing administrative services.
Scheduling MeetingsMaintaining FilesPreparing Travel Orders and VouchersReserving Conference RoomsReceiving Phone CallsAssisting in Graphics preparation and PresentationsCompleting ReportsOther General Office Duties
Job Qualifications
A minimum of 6-10 years of experience performing the qualifications associated with this position.Must be able to work independently and follow through to completion those duties assigned.Must have an expert level of proficiency in the MS Office Suite and be quick learners on varied computer software.Proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines and work effectively with tact and discretion.Ability to work well with a team in a high visibility, fast paced environment.Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance
