JOB SUMMARY ONEOK is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. You will play a critical role in creating business value through providing enterprise data. Candidate must have AWS data engineering experience, Responsible for, with limited supervision, all aspects of the data pipeline development lifecycle including design, development, testing, monitoring, deployment and maintenance activities. Architecting, building, creating, managing and optimizing data pipelines and then moving these data pipelines effectively into production for use by Data Analysts, Data Modelers, and Data Scientists. Data Engineers also need to guarantee compliance with data governance and data security requirements while creating and improving these integrated and reusable data pipelines. Will require both training, promoting and collaborative working with all IT departments and business units. Build data pipelines: Move data through a series of stages through which data flows from sources or endpoints to consumption for specific use cases. Innovate data pipelines: Drive innovative and use of modern tools, techniques and architectures to partially or completely automate the most-common, repeatable and tedious data preparation and integration tasks. Collaborate with data consumers to ensure adoption of responsible use of data provided through data governance and compliance initiatives. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Science), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. 2 - 5 years of industry or analytics experience. Knowledge of AWS environment, database management, Python, SQL, object-oriented programming, and ETL frameworks. Experience working with data pipelines, especially AWS. Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate technical details to management and peers This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK. Job Profile Summary Responsible for, with limited supervision, all aspects of the software development lifecycle for both package and custom developed applications, including in software design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance activities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Responsibilities: Works independent with limited supervision to design, develop, test, validate, deploy, monitor and maintain data pipelines as prioritized by the business including creating and updating system documentation and training materials Coordinate and communicate development activities with other team members, infrastructure personnel, vendors and management Contribute input to the data strategy and provide feedback to help ensure data strategy is aligned with user needs. Evangelize Data as an Asset Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other business areas Follow defined change control and compliance procedures associated with software development, including all required documentation and governance standards Apply data management principles to ensure appropriate governance and accuracy of data.
