We are looking for an experienced legal secretary for our busy center city law practice.Local Philadelphia candidates only. Experienced legal secretaries only.The job is a wonderful opportunity to learn from a highly experienced attorney who specializes in litigation, immigration, and criminal law.The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and proficient at the essential skills need to assist an attorney. These skills including a high level of familiarity with e-filing, writing letters, typing briefs, communicating with clients, executing filings, and helping prepare the attorney for court.We value hard work and reliability. We require at least five years of experienced as a legal secretary.This opportunity can be full or part time.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for contributing to the success of a legal practice.Responsibilities:Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to our principal attorney, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and coordinating appointments.Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal standards.Communication Coordination:Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals to facilitate effective communication.Answer and screen phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages promptly and professionally.Case Management:Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and records to ensure accessibility and compliance with firm policies.Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including court forms, pleadings, and discovery requests.Legal Research:Conduct legal research to gather relevant information for cases, ensuring that all research is thorough and up-to-date.Summarize legal documents and prepare briefs as directed by attorneys.Deadline Management:Track court deadlines, hearings, and filing dates to ensure timely submissions and compliance with legal requirements.Assist in managing the attorney's calendar to prioritize tasks and deadlines effectively.Client Interaction:Interact professionally with clients, both in person and over the phone, to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity when dealing with client matters.Qualifications:Minimum of five years of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role.Proficiency in legal software and document management systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.Education:College degree preferred.We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and a supportive work environment.
