Overview
The
Event Coordinator
is primarily responsible for coordinating and assisting all internal events taking place in the venue, This includes assistance with room scheduling, event planning, implementation and follow-up activities.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $22.

ResponsibilitiesAssist clients in the event planning process by walking them through each stepCoordinates all details of internal events and meetings with Events Department while communicating all event information in a timely manner.Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal meeting clients to assist in their plan, anticipate their needs and problem-solve on site.Communicates all event information to the appropriate Departments and stafSupports the Event Management Team on specific eventsConsults with clients to determine objectives and requirements for their eventPrepares pre-event planning documents and instructions using event software.Prepares and distributes event data sheet to all staff and departmentsAssists with preparation of post event reports for all events coordinatedWork with client and vendors to coordinate and facilitate client needs for each event and provide cost estimates as required/requestedPreparation of and submission of expenses for event settlement. Attend settlement if requiredExecutes other operational duties as assigned.Qualifications
4-year degree from a college or university preferredOne year experience same or similar position in arenas, convention centers, stadiums or theaters preferredAbility to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules (including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours)Experience with Microsoft Office products, CAD and event planning software is preferred

This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including, but not limited to: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, ability to recognize and resolve conflicts, and ability to openly communicate verbally and in writing with clients and co-workers.
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information; and constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff. Work Environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during events, depending on the incumbent's location, and minimal during non-event times.
