Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world engineering environment, working alongside seasoned professionals on challenging and innovative projects. The intern will be involved in various stages of the engineering process, from concept and design to testing and implementation. This role will provide exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices, fostering a strong foundation for a successful career in engineering. The Engineering Intern works with a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure implementation of best practices and to implement continuous improvement across the installation infrastructure and associated processes in support of projects ranging from individual components, comprehensive tenant improvement and facilities, HVAC infrastructure, and new construction projects. Responsibilities: Design and Engineering: Support design reviews for infrastructure and tenant improvement projects to ensure compliance with relevant standards, design guidelines, best practices, and stakeholder expectations. Assist in the design and development of new products, components, and systems. Contribute to brainstorming sessions, create prototypes, and participate in design reviews. Conduct field inspection throughout project implementation to verify compliance with scope and best practices, and to proactively identify implementation risks and deviations from approved design. Prepare clear and concise technical reports, presentations, and documentation. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to team members and stakeholders. Coordinate with project teams to ensure acceptable resolution plans to noted deficiencies, and timely completion of these resolutions within the project design and implementation schedule. Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Project Management: Perform project management of small scale projects associated with engineering. Proactively identify process deficiencies and other issues, and develop and implement improvements. Ensure internal records and databases are verified via ongoing quality assurance / quality control. Prepare and present reporting to stakeholders as appropriate to drive effective solutions. Evaluate operating trends, alarms, and other data from the BMS system subsequent to validate performance of the systems is consistent with design. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Qualifications required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) from an accredited university. Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in engineering and technology. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and make sound engineering decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Collaborative, open-minded, and willing to share knowledge and expertise. Self-motivated and proactive. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Eager to learn and take on new challenges. Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous projects Experience with HVAC building automation systems, including development and/or review of operating sequences for equipment and systems. Estimated total compensation for this position: 9,600.00 - 10,800.00 USD per year The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
