Job Summary: mPulse Mobile is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will work with the internal teams to develop system requirements. The Senior QA Automation Engineer is a key member of the engineering team, responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the company's QA strategy. This includes working closely in partnership with Reliability, DevOps, and Application teams to assist with troubleshooting production issues. The Engineer is responsible for providing mentorship to the QA team and supporting management with the organization and interpretation of teams progress and data. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop, iterate, and manage functional, integration, API, and user acceptance testing plans Initiate test case planning based on business and functional/technical requirements Complete exploratory testing and utilization of targeted manual testing to identify issues Participate in sprint planning and requirement review meetings Troubleshoot applications and systems issues Identify, document, and track bug tickets in JIRA Analyze requirements and design specifications Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases Assist the Lead QA Engineer with the organization and interpretation of progress, data, and reports of the teams performance and status Communicate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements Assist with troubleshooting production issues in partnership with our Reliability Engineering team and DevOps and Application Development teams. Guide QA Engineers I, II, and III and serve as team mentor Perform other duties as assigned Skills/Abilities/Experience: 5 years of work experience in software development and testing Must have hands-on experience designing and executing functional, GUI, and API tests. Have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, efficient testing strategies, and modern best practices Knowledge of all phases of SDLC (especially Agile/SCRUM environment) Proficiency with Playwright and Typescript Frameworks Automation Tool Preferred. Knowledge of testing tools including ChromeDevTool, Postman, and TestRail is preferred. Basic proficiency on the LINUX (CentOS) command line and in UNIX shell scripting Minimum Qualifications: BS. degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a Related Field Communicates and collaborates with product developers, direct manager, and engineering peers to develop solutions Is responsive to assigned Bugs/hotfixes Possesses a basic understanding of MPulses business Has successfully participated in the completion and release of production builds Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and sit for extended periods. Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
