Quality Assurance Engineer - Cheswick, PA.
Salary: $110-$115k plus $5k sign on bonus

Your Responsibilities:
Our client is searching for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support its Quality Team in the design and manufacture of EMD's highly engineered products. The ideal candidate will play an important role in the Quality Assurance organization and will ensure customer requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The individual will implement the quality assurance program to support the design, manufacture, procurement, and supply of items, services, and material while ensuring compliance to internal and external specifications and standards.

Your Challenge:
Development of quality assurance data packages for customer review
Supplier qualification evaluation and selection
Participate in internal and external audits, surveillance, and inspections
Translate customer, regulatory, and code requirements into manufacturing instructions
Provide technical support to inspectors and operators as needed
Review and approve drawings, routings, specifications, procedures, supplier certifications and similar documents related to assigned projects. Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures
Review and evaluate in-process rejections, review and approve disposition, evaluate root cause, and implements corrective action when needed. Identifies potential project or supplier quality issues
Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and/or supplier correspondence
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of quality program manuals and related department and divisional procedures
Work to develop and implement improvement programs to design and re-engineer quality techniques and processes that impact cost, time, and quality objectives
Assists other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality What you Bring:
Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
BS Engineering or equivalent
Experience in relevant field, preferably in: Nuclear Power Industry or Nuclear Navy experience
Lead Auditor certification
Lean Manufacturing
Regulated Industries (e.g., food, aerospace, transportation, biotech)
Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certifications
ASQ Certifications.
